ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DEADLINE: MAY 7, 2018
The Topic Committees welcome submissions to one of the following industry related topics.
The Compliance Track is designed to provide educational opportunities for operators and managers of industrial refrigeration systems. The topics are intended to provide information to help everyone on the refrigeration team at your facility comply with the regulations that govern the safe installation, operation, and maintenance of your refrigeration system. This information will be presented in a format that can be easily understood and directly applied to your day to day activities. All sessions will earn attendees PDH Credits.
The Operator Track is designed to provide educational opportunities for operators of Industrial Refrigeration Systems. The educational opportunities are to give real world applications in the areas of safety, compliance, diagnostics, repair, rebuild, adjustments, preventive maintenance and install equipment for use by those in the trenches using wrenches. The information presented will be in a relatable and approachable format that can be easily understood and directly applied. All sessions will earn attendees PDH Credits.
Management in the Industrial Refrigeration Industry means managing refrigeration systems specializing in and focusing on all aspects of industrial refrigeration; including but not limited to design, development, improving energy efficiency, implementation of projects, troubleshooting and optimizing existing systems and providing advice on Process Safety Management matters. The RETA National Conference will offer continuing educational opportunities relating to the implementation of new systems and standardizes equipment requirements which will enhance Manager’s knowledge of highly complex projects that includes facility start-ups and cross-functional change-management.
Engineering presentations will cover a wide range of important technical refrigeration considerations, including: * Low charge ammonia refrigeration systems * Proper hydrostatic relief system design * Performing an inventory calculation * Overview of IIAR 2 * Machinery room ventilation * Control strategies to improve energy efficiency
Authors of accepted abstracts will be invited to submit a final paper as well as present their work at the RETA National Conference this year in Dallas Texas.
