PRESS RELEASE                                                                                                                                   MAY 27, 2016

Central Florida Chapter of RETA hosting the Central Florida Ammonia Refrigeration Regional Conference Orlando, FL:  Chairman of the Central Florida Chapter Board, Ernest Leavell of Leavell Consulting recently announced the Chapter will produce and host a two-day Regional Conference devoted the ammonia refrigeration on November 3-4, 2016 at the Caribe Royale in Orlando, FL.

The Central Florida Ammonia Refrigeration Regional Conference will feature a variety of opportunities for attendees from the 24,000 square foot exhibit hall to hands-on industrial refrigeration training, technical sessions and a live ammonia release demonstration. The faculty of presenters draws from across the United States and includes such notables as Retired Battalion Chief Charles Gluck (currently a Safety Consultant to the University of Tennessee); John (Jack) Piho, PE of Piho Engineering; Lee Pyle, CARO of SCS Tracer Environmental; Kent Harmon of Industrial Consultants; Harold Paul of Air Treatment Corp.; Joseph Crisp of RC&E; Vern Sanderson, RAI, CIRO of Kelly Refrigeration Services; and Arlie B. Farley of Farley’s Frigeration.

“Were particularly excited to be able to produce this event which provides up to 14 hours of training over two days for a registration investment of only $40,” said Chapter President George Johnston of Center Mark Contracting. “We are creating an opportunity for the folks in the industrial refrigeration industry who are unable to attend larger events due to time or budget restrictions. We see a huge need and are preparing to welcome 500 or more attendees.”

Mr. Leavell continued stating “Our goal is to meet the RETA Mission Statement – ‘To enhance the professional development of industrial refrigeration operators and technicians’ and this Conference does just that. We are grateful for the foresight and generosity of our exhibitors and sponsors who have made it possible to offer such an expansive program at such a low cost.”

RETA HQ supports the Regional Conferences as they directly serve the RETA mission. “The Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Chapter put on a great Regional Conference, which I feel was one of the best educational programs that I have had the pleasure to participate in.” said Executive Director, James Barron, “Knowing that the Central Florida Regional Conference is following a similar format, I’m really looking forward to being a part of it in Orlando this November!”
