Industry Safety Days And Workshops 2017 Schedule

 

10th Annual Refrigeration Awareness Day

We serve “To enhance the professional development of Industrial Refrigeration and Technical Engineers”

 Attending a monthly RETA meeting may fulfill you companies P.S.M. continuing education requirement. Gain (personal development hours) to retain certifications.

If you need a room and reserve it before April 21, you will save approx. 15%.  We will be using the same format as we have in the past years, an opening speaker, breakout sessions, and a closing speaker.

The day will include breakfast, lunch, and door prizes. We also have the drawing for the grand door prize and the $500 drawings for attending the monthly RETA meetings.

Break out session topics are: Active Desicacant Dehumidification presented by TJ Robinson from Munters Industrial, Engineering Basics presented by Paul Anderson from Cool Air Mechanical, PSM topic presented by Bill Lape from Dean Foods, Calibrating Leak Detectors presented by Norris McElrath from Cool Air Incorporated, Preventing Hydraulic Shock presented by Bob Lind from Gartner Refrigeration, Glycols presented by Dan Chudecke from Mulcahy, Semi-hermetic Pump Tear Down presented by Brian Dudley from Teikoku, and Mechanical Integrity presented by Andrew Fiala from SCS Engineering. The training will be helping everyone with the KISS method, Keeping Systems Safe. The training sessions will count towards required PDH credits for the CIRO, CARO, and CRES certified induvial.

The opening speaker will be John Kriesel, which is a Motivational and Inspirational Speaker who served in our Military, overcame several obstacles with a positive attitude and a large story to tell.                    

The closing Speaker is Todd Metsker who is the National President of RETA. Todd brings with him several years of experience in the refrigeration field and along with the years of membership in the RETA organization.

This year we can take credit card for payment for your donation. We can do it in advance or at the door. To pay in advance contact Bret Swanson at 612-747-1119 (Bret has a new number from last year). He will take your information and you will get a receipt e-mailed back to you within minutes of the transaction.

 

We also will be having our 11th annual golf tournament at Geneva Golf Course in Alexandria on May 18th, 2017. The donation requested is $100 per golfer. This will pay for golf, lunch, and cart. The tee time is scheduled for 10:00am.

Topics and Hands-On - We are taking this to heart by offering attendees a truly robust program full of a variety of topics, including Technical Sessions in the areas of Compliance, Engineering, Manufacturing & Operations. Hands-On sessions will also be available, as well as Manufacturer Specific Sessions.

Certification and Training - Attendance accrues RETA professional development hours (PDH) applicable to maintaining RETA certification. Earn up to 15 RETA PDH from the Conference program or up to 28 RETA PDH with a combination of the Refrigeration Review Course and Conference program. RETA PDH may be applied toward CIRO, CARO, CRES and RAI certification maintenance.

Exhibitors, Guest Programs and more - Besides educational tracks and the review and certification program, attendees will have an opportunity to discuss and exchange information, meet vendors in the field through the exhibition & Hot Point Tracks, and attend events like the RETA Business Lunch, Rumble, & Awards Banquet.
